In a car accident that occurred yesterday two people were killed when two horses got loose from their owner. Although this appears to the public as a freak accidents car accidents involving horses, cows etc. occur quite frequently. In the ten years I have practices law I have handled at least five such accidents. In these cases the owner of the animals has a duty to0 reasonably contain the animals and is at fault if they get loose. These cases present numerous complex legal issues and often require prompt investigation of the accident site.
