When a pedestrian or bicycle is struck by an automobile catastrophic injuries are commonly the result. The public should be aware that both pedestrians and bicyclists are subject to the Vehicle and Traffic Law and liability will be determined by who has the right of way. In such cases it is important to contact an attorney as soon as possible so that evidence can be preserved relevant to show fault. The public should also be aware that no-fault insurance applies which means medicals as well as lost wages must be paid by the motor vehicle's no-fault insurance.http://www.syracuse.com/articles/news/index.ssf?/base/news-10/1178701541113060.xml&coll=1
