Two horrible accidents occurred over the weekend. The first accident involved a woman who turned around at a thruway toll station and then proceeded to get go down an off ramp thus driving head on with oncoming traffic. As indicated by the story: "Instead of going through the toll booth at Carrier Circle, Mauro made a U-turn and began driving west on the eastbound ramp, Merritt said. She continued the wrong way for about a mile and then collided with a 2002 Nissan at 10:15 p.m." Luckily, the other driver did not appear too seriously injured. Ms. Mauro was charged with DWI.

In the second accident a drunken motorcyclist with a passenger crossed into oncoming traffic. "The two were riding on Route 80 near Gibson Road when the motorcycle collided with a car, according to the sheriff's press release. The 2007 Harley Davidson veered into the northbound lane of Route 80 and collided with a 2005 Volkswagon driven by Shadia Khalif of Manlius."

Thus, again please do not drink and drive as it has serious consequences.
