The most terrifying expereince is being involved in an accident with a drunk driver. The injured party would assume that under such circumstances the drunk driver would be automatically responsible for his/her medical expenses and pain and suffering. However, under New York no-fault law the medical expenses remain the responsibility of your insurance carrier. In addition, you may only collect for pain and suffering is you have a qualifying "serious injury"

Therefore, if you have been injured by a drunk driver you should seek legal advice. Stanley law offices, LLP has over 20 years expereince handling such claims and will schedule a consultation free of charge.http://blog.syracuse.com/news/2007/04/auburn_dad_to_be_sentenced_for.html
