It appears that motorcycle accidents are on the rise this summer as there have been many horrific accidents over the last month. Again, this morning a driver did not see a motorcyclist causing a collision which caused the cyclist to sustain serious injuries.

Peter Nato, 30, of Sherrill, was driving a 2004 Suzuki motorcycle south on Route 46 when Bethany Dingman, 21, of Rome, was traveling north and making a left hand turn onto Route 49, Oneida County Sheriff's deputies. The two collided head on, causing Nato to be thrown from his motorcycle.

Once again I would ask motorists to be careful and watch for motorcycles over the summer months.
