Unfortunately the woman I blogged about yesterday, Joanne Browning, died as a result of the injuries sustained in the fall off the roof. Now the family is left with difficult legal issues involving both the death benefits provided by Workers Compensation as well as the wrongful death claim. The wrongful death statute is very complicated in this State and numerous factors exist as to potential recovery inlcuding whetehr dependents exist and as to whether she was consciuos for any period of time after the fall. Our hearts go out to the family.
