In a car accident last night on Route 17, a woman was airlifted by helicopter to Westchester Medical Center, after she crashed with another vehicle.

Police say they responded to a two car crash on the westbound side of Route 17 nearby Exit 107, just after 8 p.m. Initial reports indicate both cars were traveling west and bumped together before going off the side of the road, both crashing into a concrete barrier.

One person, described by police as a female in her 20s, was transported by medical helicopter for serious injuries she sustained in the crash. The other persons involved in the crash were treated for only minor injuries.
